Hey Buddy. You are correct as usual about Sonny Barger. He was the original president of the Oakland Chapter. When he moved to Arizona, Oakland was taken ove by a nice young man called "Cisco". Sonny also claimed the title of National President of the club. I'm not sure but I believe Sonny is back in Oakland and is in the midst of getting old. (HA)

We had some crazy times at the "park" and "Blue Shingles" and the railroad track pop into my mind.

Keep writing, lots of memories.

ALL OF THIS IS TRUE. You can't make this stuff up. I do remember that construction job and the boss man. Were we trying to kill big mouth with the plywood? I thought we were just.......oh oh. Never mind. One more thing about Leo. One day he asked me if I wanted to ride over to southside while he did a little business. Sure, why not. who is going to mess with you. While riding up Hull St. we were getting off on an off ramp. This little old lady was obviously going to slow for Leo so while I had my hands over my eyes he he rammed her in the back, spun her out and laughed as we drove by. He never stopped and we never saw a cop. He was no joke. Leo had a soft spot for all of us and was always there to listen to us too.

I was shocked and saddened by the passing of Fran Ford. She was a nice and friendly person with a great smile and great laugh. In 2007 I coordinated a family reunion for my Bowles and Satterwhite family lines. It was then that I found out that Fran and I were related. William Reuben Ford, of Goodchland married Mary Bowles, daughter of John Bowles and Mary Bowles. Fran and I both descend from Benjamin Bowles Sr. of Hanover county, Va., who was burried in the Bowles cemetary in Goodchland, Virginia. Our Bowles line has been verified to have been in Virginia in 1625. Another John Bowles may have been in Jamestown in 1612 when he came over from England on the ship "George". Lots of circumstantial evidence, but not 100% proof.

Barry A. Morewitz, a Richmond, VA native and D.C. resident of 50+ years, died unexpectedly at home Thursday, April 13 at the age of 76.

As a graduate of the University of Virginia and Georgetown Law School, Barry worked at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission post-graduation before pursuing a successful career in stock market trading. An avid lifelong traveller, Barry had just returned from a 10 day Caribbean cruise, a fitting end to decades of European and US travels.

He will be sorely missed by his daughter, Risa C. Morewitz, of Los Angeles, CA; former wife, Kate Petranech, of Berryville, VA; devoted friend and neighbor, Madeleine Krebs; members of his cherished Chavurah group; and many friends across the globe.

A reception will be held from 2-4PM on Thursday, April 20th at Joseph Gawler’s Sons Funeral Home; 5130 Wisconsin Ave. NW, Washington, D.C. 202 966-6400. Burial will follow on Friday, April 21st at 11am at the Hebrew Cemetery of Richmond, VA.

Hi everyone I would like to pick your brains for a place to stay/rent as I lost my apartment to insects. Spent 3 weeks in HDH to treat this. But I can't go back.
If you have room or know of someone who has a place for me and my Hungarian Puli Kati I'd appreciate a lead. I had to dump sofa. Bed and recliner as they were infested by 300 roaches...Dogwood Terrace Apts.
Please let me know as I have no relatives left to count on.

I am hoping to find a place to stay. Roommate situation with someone who can also my small Puli sheepdog..30 lbs and does not shed.
Please let me know who to call. I thought I had found someone but she backed off...been living alone too long.Her loss.
I am getting desperate! I am over staying my time at the Laurels as they have to discharge me as soon as possible.

Hi folks, on Wednesday May 1, at 5:00, TeeJay alumni will be honored at the TeeJay v. Huguenot baseball game. The game will be played on TeeJay's home field. Alumni will be recognized at 5:00 before the game begins. The game is scheduled to begin at 5:30. Please note that due to the generous donations of alumni to the Tee Jay Vikings Fund https://teejayvikingsfund.org/the the following improvements have been made to the field: 1 a scoreboard, 2 a new pitchers mound, 3 a new batting cage net. 4 repairs to the dugout benches and backstop. Additionally the TJVF has provided over 600 box lunches from

Mr. Submarine for the football, basketball, softball, and baseball teams when they have away games.

Renew old friendships, wear something red, bring a lawn chair, and enjoy the game. A supportive fan base is so important to our young people. Although it's not necessary, let me know if you plan on attending. If the weather is questionable call the TJ office before 4:00 at 804-780-6028.
