The 50th reunion was great. Let's do it again.
I was such a non-event at TJ that even I don't remember me.
For those of you who dare to think that I was not smart, I want you to know I received a "B" in typing class.
My proudest TJ moment was when I re-took Geometry in summer school and solved a problem on the blackboard that no one in the class (including the teacher) was able to solve. My "F" in Geometry changed to a very high "B" in summer school. I wish I had applied myself more before college like I did after college. Fortunately my academics did a complete turnaround when I went away to college and later grad school. Getting away from home was one of the best things that ever happened to me.
Dan's Latest Interactions
I am so amazed at how few people I know from Thomas Jefferson. I wish we would have a reunion from Mary Munford elementary school. Given that year after year the same kids were in the same class, we got to know each other. I recall Buddy Mawyer going up to kick the kickball. Play at skinny Randy R. front yard. Wilson Craigie and I planting mint bushes at Mary Munford. Easter Egg hunts at Diane H. Having a crush on Barbara Walters. Sneaking to Sauers Garden to smoke cigarettes during lunchtime. Being detained after school for misbehaving. I almost never studied, and my grades reflected that. My cure for bringing home a test with an F or a D for a parent to sign was to forge their signature. Most summers I attended summer school. I attended summer school one time to retake geometry, which I failed miserably. One day the teacher asked me to solve this problem on the blackboard. I could not do it. No one in the class could do it. Even the teacher could not solve it. That night I studied the problem and found the solution. The next day I presented the solution. This was one of the proudest moments of my life. Shortly after graduating from Univ of Richmond I went into the Army. After that I have had many jobs in my computer career. They include the US Secret Service, The Mitre Corp., EDS, Chief of Management Information Systems at the Dept of Justice, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, IT staff at USAA in San Antonio, then self-employed. I am retired now and live in Silver Spring, Maryland outside of DC. I am a huge animal lover and participate in many organizations devoted to animal welfare, veganism, and vegetarianism. Hope everyone is doing well.

Marty and I attended school together but ne ver knew each other. I began dating a mutual friend and we double dated with Marty and his girlfriend. Winthin 30 seconds we discovered we attended TJ and other schools but never met. Marty became one of my best friends and I miss him dearly, especially when I come to Richmond. Marty and I went on a wonderful vacation that took us to the Pacific NW - Vacouver, B.C., Seattle, Portland. We ate a gazillon sour dough roles at dinner in the Seattle Space Needle. What a great time we had. I miss my friend Marty.

Nancy,
Good for you. I am proud of what you are doing. I think we met at the 30 year reunion. We did not know each other at TJ. You told me way back when that you planned to go to Israel. And you obviously did. To recall my hometown is Richmond. I was living in North Bethesda, Maryland and came to Richmond to visit family and friends. We spent some time together. I sold my townhouse about a year ago and now live in a condo in downtown Silver Spring, Maryland. You said you planned to go to Israel to perform volunteer work. I thought it was just talk but I was wrong. I too do volunteer work, mostly related to animal welfare. I also have been getting more active with anti-climate change activities. It is unfortunate that Trump pulled out of the Paris Accords for protection of our planet. Tonight I am attending a Green Festival fundraiser. You must have some amazing experiences. I still have the TJ yearbooks you gave me. Here is my direct contact information

Please accept my sympathies about your husband. I am truly sorry. I can relate to your back problems. I have had 2 surgeries for a herniated disc. From your photos it is great that you have a supportive family. Dan

Hi Donnie.
I remember you from way back when, starting with Mary Munford. We did not interact very much but back then I did not interact that much with anybody. I remember you hung out with Gary Nadler, Bob Levin, Nadie Elkin. I easily see the facial resemblance between you as a child and as an adult. The TJ Reunion was great. I'm at the age of periodic forgetfulness. It does have some advantages. I can watch a movie I have not seen for sometime and it is as if I am watching it for the very first time. Happy birthday Ginny. I had a beloved Springer Spaniel that I named Ginny. I miss her.
Dan, I sent you two emails and they came back to me. I put the space between last and first name. Is that correct? i will try to call you tonite.
Dan: Want to talk to you about Bromley Lane reunion. Email me at :
