Bert died as a result of an accident in October, 1998. Bert had two children. He always said that when he retired he wanted to travel the world with his daughter, Corbin, who was a worldwide professional photographer. Sadly, that did not happen, but now, when Corbin travels the world she spreads Bert's ashes in the places she visits...the latest was China.
